This Adrar 013 lunar meteorite is a complete individual specimen recovered from the Adrar region of Algeria in 2023. The stone remains entirely natural and has not been cut, polished, or altered in any way. Lunar meteorites are very rare, as only a small number of meteorites found on Earth originate from the Moon. A certificate of authenticity issued by my shop accompanies the specimen.
Adrar 013 is classified as a lunar melt breccia with gabbroic composition, a rock type formed when lunar crustal material was melted and brecciated during impact events on the Moon. The meteorite is officially registered in the Meteoritical Bulletin Database and represents genuine lunar material ejected from the Moon’s surface by large impacts and later delivered to Earth.
