1. Introduction
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the use of mineralbids.com (the “Website”), operated by MineralBids, a sole proprietorship established in Greece (ΑΦΜ: 133466759) (“MineralBids”, “we”, “us”, “our”).
By accessing or using the Website, creating an account, listing items, placing bids, or purchasing products, you agree to be legally bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Website.
2. Platform role
MineralBids operates an online auction marketplace.
- MineralBids is not the seller of listed items
- Sellers are independent third parties
- MineralBids acts solely as an intermediary providing technical tools
- The contract of sale is formed directly between buyer and seller
- MineralBids is not a party to the sales contract
3. Eligibility
Use of the Website and participation in auctions is strictly limited to persons aged 18 years or older.
By registering, bidding, or purchasing, you declare that you are at least 18 years old.
Accounts belonging to minors may be suspended or terminated, and related bids may be voided.
4. Accounts
Users may register as buyers, sellers, or both.
You are responsible for:
- Providing accurate and complete information
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials
- All activity under your account
MineralBids may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or applicable law.
5. Auctions and bidding
- All bids are binding
- Bids cannot be withdrawn except where required by law
- Sellers may set reserve prices, starting prices, and durations
- Auction end times are final unless extended automatically by platform rules
MineralBids is not responsible for bidding errors caused by user input, connectivity issues, or device malfunction.
6. Seller obligations
Sellers are solely responsible for:
- Accuracy of descriptions, images, weights, dimensions, condition, and authenticity
- Legal right to sell the item
- Compliance with export, import, customs, environmental, and cultural property laws
- Proper packaging and shipment
- Any warranties or guarantees provided
- Clearly stating their own terms (shipping, handling time, etc.)
MineralBids does not inspect or authenticate listed items.
7. Buyer responsibilities
Buyers acknowledge that:
- They bid and purchase at their own responsibility
- Item descriptions are provided by sellers, not MineralBids
- They are responsible for import laws, customs duties, and local regulations
8. Payments
Payments are processed via PayPal.
- Payments are received by MineralBids and later paid to the seller, minus commission
- MineralBids is not responsible for PayPal account issues, limitations, or disputes
9. Open Box shipping (beta)
Open Box Shipping is a BETA feature provided for convenience only.
By using it, users agree that:
- It affects shipping only and does not combine or delay payments
- Each order remains separate and fully paid
- Additional orders may result in incremental shipping charges
- The system may not be uninterrupted or error-free
MineralBids may modify, suspend, or disable this feature at any time without notice.
MineralBids is not responsible for delays, extra charges, or inconvenience related to this feature.
10. Fees and taxes
10.1 Commission
MineralBids charges sellers a commission for marketplace services.
The commission is calculated on top of the seller’s listed price.
10.2 Seller taxes
Sellers are solely responsible for VAT, sales tax, duties, and any applicable taxes.
MineralBids bears no responsibility for seller tax compliance.
10.3 Invoicing
Depending on seller status:
a) EU / international businesses (with valid VAT or proof of business)
- Service Provision Invoice issued
- VAT handled according to EU rules (reverse charge where applicable)
b) Greek businesses
- Service Provision Invoice issued
- Greek VAT applies
c) Individuals (non-business sellers)
- Proof of Service Provision issued
- 24% VAT applied on commission
MineralBids does not provide tax advice.
11. Refunds and disputes
- Refunds due to seller fault are the seller’s responsibility
- MineralBids does not issue refunds on behalf of sellers
- MineralBids retains its commission
Buyers must contact sellers directly.
MineralBids may assist procedurally but has no financial liability.
12. Intellectual property
All Website content, software, branding, and design are owned by MineralBids or its licensors.
Unauthorized use is prohibited.
13. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- MineralBids is not liable for seller conduct, item quality, shipping, or legality
- No guarantee of uninterrupted or error-free operation
- Liability is limited to the service fee paid to MineralBids
14. Suspension and termination
MineralBids may suspend or terminate access if:
- These Terms are violated
- Illegal activity is suspected
- Required by law
15. Changes to terms
MineralBids may update these Terms at any time.
Continued use of the Website constitutes acceptance of updates.
Supplementary Terms may exist in the Website footer under “Legal”.
16. Admin access for support and debugging
To provide support, resolve disputes, or investigate technical issues, MineralBids administrators may access user accounts in a controlled manner.
This may include:
- Viewing the Website from a user’s perspective
- Reproducing issues reported by the user
- Verifying transactions, bids, or account behavior
This access is used strictly for support, security, and platform integrity purposes.
Administrators do not access personal passwords or modify user data beyond what is necessary for support or legal compliance.
Use of the Website constitutes acknowledgment of this administrative capability.
17. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Greece.
Any disputes fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of Greek courts.
