A very interesting specimen of pink lepidolite mica in a feldspar matrix. This lithium mica is a memento from when I used to visit the Mesquittela quarry with the owner, Jose Carolinho. Every year in August, work was at a standstill, with only a small crew maintaining the machinery. I would take advantage of this time to walk around and search the mined areas with Jose Carolinho and his sister-in-law. This was over 35 years ago.
