This highly aesthetic combination specimen comes from the famous Grieswies occurrence in Rauris, Salzburg, Austria. At the base sits a group of pale, opaque pericline crystals, which serve as an attractive matrix for a beautifully developed quartz crystal of outstanding quality. The quartz displays excellent transparency, sharp crystal faces, and pronounced natural etching features, while several smaller associated crystals at its base further enhance the overall appearance. A particularly eye-catching Alpine specimen from one of Austria’s classic crystal localities.
