A very interesting group of octahedral crystals of very dark violet color on a matrix of marble and limonite. This deposit is a Spanish classic due to the quality of its crystals and their different colors, as well as the almost constant presence of clinohumite crystals. Most specimens are treated with hydrochloric acid to dissolve the marble and expose the splendid spinel crystals.
