1. General Principles

MineralBids is a marketplace.
All items are sold by independent vendors, not by MineralBids.

  • Return and refund decisions are made by the vendor

  • MineralBids does not issue refunds on behalf of vendors

  • Any refund resulting from a return is issued directly by the vendor

  • MineralBids retains its commission in all cases


2. Auctions – No Change of Mind

2.1 Auctions Are Final

Auction purchases are final.

There is no right of withdrawal for auction purchases based on:

  • Change of mind

  • Buyer’s remorse

  • Preference after delivery

This applies to all auction items.


2.2 When Returns May Be Accepted (Auctions)

Returns for auction purchases may be accepted only if:

  • The item is materially not as described, or

  • The item arrived damaged due to improper packaging

Minor variations, including:

  • Natural characteristics

  • Color differences due to lighting or screens

  • Small differences in shape or size

do not qualify as “not as described”.

In all such cases:

  • The vendor is responsible

  • The buyer must contact the vendor promptly

  • Any refund or replacement is handled by the vendor


3. Buy Now Items

3.1 More Flexibility, Seller Policies Apply

Buy Now items may be subject to a return or withdrawal period, typically up to 14 days, where applicable.

However:

  • Returns for Buy Now items are governed by the vendor’s own return policy

  • Buyers must review seller policies before purchasing

  • MineralBids does not impose a uniform return policy


3.2 Conditions for Buy Now Returns

Vendors may set conditions including:

  • Time limits

  • Item condition upon return

  • Return shipping responsibility

Buyers must comply fully with the vendor’s stated conditions.


4. Refund Handling

  • All refunds are issued by the vendor

  • Refunds are processed using the original payment method, where possible

  • MineralBids does not refund its commission

  • Shipping costs are refunded only if and as specified by the vendor


5. Damaged or Incorrect Items

If an item:

  • Arrives damaged

  • Is materially different from its description

The buyer must:

  • Contact the vendor as soon as possible

  • Provide evidence where requested (photos, description)

  • Follow the vendor’s resolution process

Delayed reporting may affect eligibility for a refund.


6. Platform Role

MineralBids:

  • Is not a party to the sale contract

  • Does not inspect or verify items

  • Does not decide return eligibility

  • May assist procedurally but has no financial liability


7. Seller Responsibility

Vendors are responsible for:

  • Clearly stating return and refund policies

  • Packaging items appropriately

  • Handling refunds and returns fairly and lawfully

Vendor policies are displayed on each product page and form part of the contract between buyer and vendor.
